Frequently Asked Questions

Are UGG boots waterproof?
Our Classic UGG boots are water-resistant. They are – and always have been – designed to keep your feet cosy whatever the weather, with natural moisture-wicking properties and an ultra-breathable natural lining. The outside of our Classic UGG boot is made with pretreated suede, so they’ll survive the occasional rain and snow. Explore our collection of fully waterproofed styles for the rainier days.
Can you machine-wash UGG boots and slippers?

All our boots, slippers and slides are made from delicate, premium materials and machine-washing or dry-cleaning them can cause damage beyond repair. Take a look at our UGG Cleaning Kit for essential tips on how to look after your UGG favourites.

How do I get stains out of my UGG footwear?

If the stains are dry, brush your UGG boots or slippers with a suede brush - this may help to lift off the stain. If there is still some residue or an oily mark underneath the stain, you should be able to give your coveted UGG footwear a new lease of life with our essential UGG Cleaning Kit.

How do I fluff up my UGG slippers?

The best way to keep your slippers at their fluffiest is to gently clean off any mark as soon as possible to keep it from drying out or leaving a stain. Spot clean your fluffs with a sponge dampened with clean water, then pat with an absorbent towel and allow to dry naturally in an cool, airy space.

How do I clean smelly UGG slippers?

Our wool, leather and sheepskin linings naturally help to reduce odour, but if you’re after a little extra help with freshening up your UGG slippers, slides and boots, we’ve got some tips. One of our go-to quick fixes is to apply a spritz or two of our UGG Shoe Renew to keep your UGG footwear smelling fresh and clean. We also recommend regularly airing your UGG boots or slippers. If your UGG boots or slippers get wet, try stuffing them with newspaper - this naturally removes odours and will help to retain their natural shape as they dry, too.

HOW TO USE:
UGG PROTECTOR

Make sure your favourite UGG products always look their best with UGG Protector. UGG protector keeps your shoes flawless for longer by creating an invisible, breathable layer which keeps marks on the surface and easily wiped away.

1 - Shake well before applying to clean, dry sheepskin or suede in a well-ventilated area. Hold the bottle 6 inches away from surface. Spray evenly until the surface is wet but not soaked.
2 - Let boots dry naturally for 24 hours in a cool, ventilated area. Avoid direct heat and sunlight.

3 - Once dry, use a suede brush and lightly brush in a single direction to restore your UGG boots, slippers and slides to good-as-new status.

HOW TO USE:
